Studio Policies

  • The Cornerstone Studio is built around creating a safe and happy space for everyone. We ask that all clients and staff adopt The Cornerstone Studio spirit, and treat others the way they would like to be treated. If a participant ever feels that the environment has become unsafe, please speak to a staff member.
  • The Cornerstone Studio Inc is not liable for any injury that may occur in any of our Indoor or Outdoor group classes or training. 
  • The Cornerstone Studio Inc is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
  • The Cornerstone Studio Inc reserves the right to refuse service and deny entry.
  • The use of cameras is forbidden in the dressing rooms or during class. Mobile phones must be set to silent mode or turned off during class time. 
  • Food and beverages (with the exception for water) are not permitted in the gym space at any time. The Cornerstone Studio is not a guaranteed peanut/nut-free environment.
  • Personal belongings cannot be stored at the studio.

Fees

  • All fees are non-refundable or transferrable, and are subject to 13% HST.
  • We accept Mastercard, Visa, and Cash.
  • If a credit card payment is declined, a 5-day grace period will be placed during which point the client must settle their balance. If payments have not been made within the 5-day grace period, a $25 late fee will be charged.

Class Policies

  • Our fitness classes are designed for participants 18 years of age or older. Participants who are 15-17 may request to participate in a fitness class, however one personal training assessment with a Cornerstone Studio trainer may be required at the discretion of Cornerstone Studio staff. A Parental/ Guardian waiver must be signed and submitted prior to class participation.
  • The Cornerstone Studio reserves the right to deny a participant from participating in or continuing in any fitness program, should we believe a participant’s own health and/ or safety, or the safety of others is at risk.

Participant Expectations

  • Participants must arrive between 5-10 minutes prior to class wearing appropriate athletic attire. Late entry will not be permitted.
  • All fitness classes require clean, indoor only shoes, with exception to Barre, Yoga and Pilates classes.
  • The Cornerstone Studio reserves the right to cancel a participants’ ongoing registration for inappropriate or offensive behaviour.

Intro Pass & Class Cards

  • A two (2) week unlimited introductory class card expires 14 days from the date of purchase (inclusive of the date of purchase).
  • A five (5) class card expires 3 calendar months from its date of purchase.
  • A ten (10) class card expires 6 calendar months from its date of purchase.
  • A twenty (20) class card expires 12 calendar months from its date of purchase.
  • Any cancellations due to illness or injury must be accompanied by a dated note from a physician, and will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

Month to Month Membership (no contract)

  • The Month to Month membership will auto-renew on a month to month basis at the same monthly rate. To stop a membership from auto-renewing, please email info@cornerstonestudio.ca at least 10 days prior to the next billing date.
  • The participant agrees to pay the membership fee each month, which shall be automatically charged to the participant’s credit card on file.
  • Cancellations made less than 10 days in advance of the payment date will still be charged for the upcoming month, but all subsequent payments will be cancelled.
  • If a credit card payment is declined, the participant shall be notified of the missed payment, and a 5-day grace period shall be given during which point the participant must settle their balance. If payments have not been made within the 5-day grace period, a $25 late fee will be charged.
  • Any cancellations due to illness or injury must be accompanied by a dated note from a physician, and will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

12 Month Memberships

  • By purchasing a twelve (12) month membership, the participant shall agree to and accept all of the terms of the membership contract, and be bound by those terms for the duration of the membership contract.
  • The membership contract shall be in force for twelve (12) months from the Contract Start Date. The contract cannot be cancelled during the twelve (12) month period.
  • By entering a twelve (12) month membership, the participant agrees to pay the membership fee each month, which shall be automatically charged via the participant’s credit card on file.
  • If a credit card payment is declined, the participant shall be notified of the missed payment, and a 5-day grace period shall be given during which point the participant must settle their balance. If payments have not been made within the 5-day grace period, a $25 late fee will be charged.
  • The contract can be put on hold for a total of 6 weeks, for a minimum of two week increments, and must be requested by e-mail to info@cornerstonestudio.ca prior to the hold.
  • After the twelve (12) Month period has concluded, memberships will auto-renew on a month to month basis at the same monthly rate. To stop a membership from auto-renewing, please email info@cornerstonestudio.ca at least 30 days prior to the last payment date of the contract.
  • Any cancellations due to illness or injury must be accompanied by a dated note from a physician, and will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
    • If a class has less than 3 clients pre-registered, 12 hours before the class, the class will be cancelled by Cornerstone Studio staff. Any pre-registered clients will receive a cancellation email, and pre-paid classes will be credited back to the clients’ Mindbody account.
    • Class pre-registration is mandatory, and can be made through your Mindbody account, or on the Mindbody app.
    • Client class cancellations can be made up until 12 hours before the class, through your Mindbody account or the Mindbody app.
    • Cancellations made by the client less than 12 hours in advance of the class are considered a late-cancel, and the following penalties will apply:
    • Drop ins/ class cards: Late cancellations or no shows will result in the client being charged for the full amount of their missed class.
    • Unlimited Passes or Memberships: Late cancellations or no shows will result in a $15.00 charge per missed class.

    Booking

    • Personal training or small group appointments can be booked in advance, online through Mindbody, or in-person/ over the phone with our front desk team.
    • Bookings are not considered complete until payment is received in full at the time of booking.
    • The Cornerstone Studio reserves the right to cancel appointments at any time.
    • The Cornerstone Studio reserves the right to decline re-enrolment for inappropriate, offensive or unsafe behaviour.

    Cancellation policies

    • Personal training and Small group appointment cancellations must be made a minimum of 48-hours prior to appointment start time, by contacting Cornerstone studio administration. Notifying the trainer directly (via text message, etc) is not considered a valid cancellation.
    • Cancellations can be done via email, to info@cornerstonestudio.ca. Cancellations made by voicemail are not valid.
    • Cancellations made less than 48-hours in advance will still be charged for the full amount of the session.
    • Appointments cancelled by the client less than 48-hours in advance will not be made up.
    • Cancellations due to illness/ injury will require a dated physician’s note, and will be addressed on a case-to-case basis.
    • Cancellations made by The Cornerstone Studio will be made-up or credited appropriately.

    REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION

    • Students can register anytime, and are able attend 1, 2 or 3 weekly Teen Strength & Agility classes depending on their membership (please select the correlating membership for the desired amount of weekly classes).
    • Spaces are limited to 10 spots per class, so students must pre-register in advance of the class.
    • Memberships auto-renew monthly, and can be cancelled anytime with 30 Days written notice (from the next payment date).
    • Registration is not considered complete until the following conditions have been met: (a) a valid credit card is placed on file, and (b) all applicable waivers and studio policies have been signed and received.

    STUDENT EXPECTATIONS

    • Students must arrive a minimum of 5 minutes prior to class wearing appropriate fitness attire for optimal ability to move comfortably and safely.
    • Students must bring a pair of clean, indoor only, non-marking shoes for each class, as well as a water bottle and a towel (optional).
